Gen Tucker, a contestant in the Miss Teen Canada pageant, will hold a fundraiser for Free the Children with a little help from her friends Sunday at 7 p.m. at Art Space. Tucker, 18, is required to raise funds for the charity as part of the eligibility requirements for the pageant. Tucker is a student of Dawn Boudreau Music Centre and will put on a show with fellow students. The singers will be accompanied by guitar, piano and will even perform in karaoke style. “The intimate setting of Art Space is perfect for this fundraising event and Jim Brinkman has donated the space for the cause,” said Tucker. “Since Art Space is where I had my first performances with Dawn and her other students, it’s pretty fitting.” Admission is by donation and all funds raised will go to the Free the Children charity.
