Another 2009 Miss Teen Canada- World finalistI think that it is important for everyone to know that there is still bullying and people still get treated unequally. I would love to be a spokesperson for young people of today in hopes of changing the way it is now. People get treated unfairly and unequally everyday, everywhere. Even at my own school I have seen inequality happen right in front of my eyes numerous times. I have never been afraid to step in and stand up for the victim if needed. There is a right way and a wrong way to fix a problem. If you don't tell anyone you are being treated unfairly, nothing will be changed. If you speak up for yourself, or tell someone who can help you, problems can be fixed. Whether it is being bullied for race, culture, religion, sexuality, social status, or gender, it is not acceptable. I want to find ways to solve these problems that are still happening today. We are the future, and if we cannot live in the same world all together, there will be no one left. I believe people should be allowed to be different, if we were all the same it would be boring. Everyone on the planet needs to be accepting of one another so we can work together and keep our earth alive. My platform is to spread the word of equality, and let people know inequality is still in effect and we need to work together to change this.
