For those of you who do not know, as contestants in the Miss Teen Canada World Pageant, we must complete assignments on our blogs that will be judged as part of our final mark for the pageant. Each assignment is marked based on writing skills, and the overall appearance of our blog. Here is assignment #3.
We are asked to visit the Free the Children website and pick a photo which we feel is the most powerful from the Media room. Below is the Photo I chose.

Free the Children is truely an amazing organization. They're goal is to free children from poverty and exploitation and free young people from the idea that they are powerless to affect positive change in the world. If I was the marketing Director for Free the Children and I had to choose the most powerful image from the photo gallery, I would choose the above image of the little girl. This little girl was caught in the action of working on her school work. With Free the Children's help, this little child has the opportunity to go to school and receive a proper education. I can see in her eyes that she is happy. She is full of hope and wonder. She is thankful for being given a chance to step forward and learn. When I first looked at this picture it made me feel humble, and happy for this little girl. You never know how rough her home life may be. She could be living in very poor situations with no clean water, and not a under sturdy roof. She could be hungry for most of her days, and she may live in fear everyday of her life. As for this one moment captured, she is at ease. She knows that there are people in the world that care about her, and her family and friends. She knows people all over the world are trying to help her and her family stay on their two feet. This little girl is grateful there is people in the world donating to Free the Children because she knows all children in the world deserve to go to school, and live healthy, happy lifestyles.
